📘 Description:

Polyethylene wax is a hard, white, odorless synthetic wax derived from polyethylene. It is widely used in plastic processing, masterbatch, coatings, and printing ink industries due to its lubricating properties and thermal resistance. Available in powder, granule, and emulsion forms.

⚗️ Physical & Chemical Properties:

  • Appearance: White powder, flakes, or granules
  • Melting Point: 100–140°C
  • Density: 0.92–0.98 g/cm³
  • Viscosity: 10–1000 cP at 140°C
  • Insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents

🧪 Production Process:

PE wax is produced either by the direct polymerization of ethylene or thermal cracking of high-density polyethylene. Cracked wax is filtered and distilled for purification. Recycled PE is also used in production. The final wax is shaped into powder, granules, or emulsions depending on the application.

🧯 Safety & Handling:

  • Flammable at high temperatures.
  • Store in cool, dry conditions away from sunlight.
  • Avoid inhalation of fine powder.
  • Packaged in heavy-duty PE bags or drums.
